A devoted, old-fashioned benefactor + a sophisticated, self-interested kept lover
Twists + one-on-one romance + love rivals + a painful pursuit to win her back
Yan Li is a ruthless, disciplined man in power. Beneath his immaculate suits lies a personality rigid to the extreme.
The only time he ever lost control in his life was probably when he took Pei Yan under his wing:
that dazzling, vain, heartless canary.
P.S. Sweet from beginning to end, with plenty of melodrama and love rivals. The male lead goes from abstinent to unhinged, while the female lead goes from chasing money to finding true love.
