Harry Potter: A Thousand Lives and Deaths

This story contains serious OOC, a negatively portrayed Grindelwald, and the Marauders. The story mainly unfolds from Harry’s point of view and doesn’t follow the original plot. The story is told in reverse chronological order, starting with the children’s generation and then moving on to the parents’ generation. No one is reborn or transmigrates. If something doesn’t make sense, assume it’s foreshadowing. Some of the clues take a long time to pay off. There are original characters, and this is a story about family and friendship. There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people. If this isn’t your cup of tea, move on and don’t bother me. Thanks. If you’re fine with all of that, read on: Harry is no longer a skinny Chosen One sleeping under the stairs. This time, he lives happily with his mum and dad. Though the title of Chosen One has fallen to him, he never panics. Eleven years of companionship set him on his own path, and fate is generous with him: his dear friends come running from every corner. “Harry, if you trust me, Hermione Granger, tell me when you don’t want to be the Chosen One. I’ll help you tear off that undeserved label.” “Harry, you saved someone from high above on a Comet 260. You should have confidence in yourself.” “Harry, you should admire your elders a little!” “Harry, everyone likes you. Everyone loves you dearly.” This time, the Mirror of Erised reflects Harry lifting the Quidditch Cup. He deserves to be the happiest child in the world. “Hello, I’m Harry Potter. It’s nice to meet you!” The blurb doesn’t do it justice, so head to the story itself. The pacing may be a little slow.
