A Dream of Huangliang: Tales of Macau

At eighteen, he left home without telling his family and headed south to Macau, just two hours away by car. He hoped to make something of himself, never knowing he was stepping into an abyss that would devour his soul.

This is the true story of a young man who went from naive and clueless to spending ten years caught in the ups and downs of gambling. The casino lights glittered, but every table was a hunter’s trap. He went from the excitement and greed of his first visit to the cycle of losing everything, winning it back, and falling again; from the despair of having no money to starting a successful business during the pandemic with his sharp instincts, then making millions before returning to the gambling world and ruining his future... He saw every side of human nature and experienced life’s warmth and cruelty.

A Dream of Yellow Millet: The Gambler’s Road is not only a personal account of rising and falling, but also a warning to young people who think they can get lucky and change their fate with “easy money.” That road may look glamorous on the surface, but it leads to ruin.
