The Book Spirit Arrives: I Conquer the World with Tang Dynasty Poetry

My name is Tang Qi. I’m a book spirit who leapt out of Three Hundred Tang Poems, and I roam the world riding the Taotie from The Classic of Mountains and Seas. These days, the old man from The Analects loves to lecture, the girl from Song Lyrics is far too sentimental, and even Five Years of College Entrance Exams, Three Years of Practice Exams has become a spirit, chasing people around and making them take tests every day! Now I’m off to meet the fox spirit from Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio. Don’t get the wrong idea: I’m really doing it to save the world. (Not.)

Big shots, sure, I say things that hit a nerve and love tempting fate, but what are you going to do about it? Li Bai gave me a sword, and Du Fu gave me a shield. Who else can match that?
