The story is set in an imaginary ancient world, where two clans, Shen and Xiao, exist. In order to protect the common people, the two clans teamed up with Tianji Pavilion to set up a trap to seal the demon. However, some of the elders of Tianji Pavilion degenerated, tampered with history, and secretly raised monsters infected by the devil's breath, causing turmoil in the world. As a result, the Shen and Xiao clans suffered infamy and had grievances for thousands of years.
