Naruto: After I Became Naruto

I don't understand why Hinata likes Naruto inexplicably. The anime is because Naruto saved Hinata. I really don't understand why in this book. It goes directly from a baby to seven years old and then enters school. I don't see any interaction with Hinata. It's so baffling.
