Wings of the Republic

Lin Zhiyuan, an aerospace engineer from the 21st century, transmigrated to 1949, just as the new nation was founded. He had no idea how it happened; somehow, he had ended up in that era. A graduate of MIT, he was aboard an ocean liner with overseas Chinese returning home, watching white gulls fly over the sea. He had transmigrated from the 21st century to the founding of the nation, with a suitcase full of fighter aircraft designs from his own time, as well as designs for projects that had never been realized. They were all the fruit of his labor. Now that he had arrived in this era, he wondered how he could help forge a sword for the skies of his country through these difficult times, all while making sure no one noticed. Transmigrating was his greatest advantage. As one of the first overseas Chinese to return, he was sure to find work at an aircraft factory once he reached home. And so, a new chapter began.
