This story begins with the beginning of reform and opening up in 1978. Under the impact of the wave of transformation from a planned economy to a market economy, Yiwu and Wenzhou, as the forefront of reform, took the lead in breaking the traditional economic model. Based on the business tradition of "exchanging chicken feathers for sugar", Yiwu started from a road market and gradually developed into a world-famous small commodity distribution center; Wenzhou people relied on their pioneering spirit to expand their territory in light industries such as shoemaking and clothing, creating the "Wenzhou model". The story spans more than forty years, completely showing the ups and downs of three families in the changing times.
