On a stormy night, the balcony of unemployed young man Lin Xiao’s apartment was torn apart. Among the falling rubble lay an injured, unconscious woman who claimed to be Jean, Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. Lin Xiao’s worldview completely collapsed when Jean used Anemo powers to flip an out-of-control truck and save a dog, instantly setting the internet abuzz. The police pounding urgently on his door and the strange purple rift of lightning outside his window heralded the beginning of chaos.
Jean was not alone. Powerful women from the continent of Teyvat began falling through spatial rifts one after another: the Raiden Shogun, Ei, who pursued eternity; Keqing of the Liyue Qixing; Klee, the “Spark Knight”; and others. They had transmigrated to an “elementless” Earth whose laws were completely different from those of their world, where their powers had become a burden. They struggled to fit in, frequently lost control of their abilities, and were constantly at risk of being hunted by the authorities’ “Anomaly Management Bureau.”
Faced with these “visitors from another world,” who were incredibly skilled yet knew nothing of the rules, Lin Xiao came up with a crazy plan: rather than have them hide, why not let them shine? He declared, “Let’s form a girl group! Use your powers to become idols onstage, proudly and openly!”
And so the girl group “Beneath the Starry Sky” was born:
* Jean’s swordsmanship became a blade dance, and her Wind Glider turned into a stage effect.
* Ei’s “Musou no Hitotachi” became the show’s climax, though controlling its power proved to be the biggest challenge.
* Klee’s bombs were replaced with fireworks, and “Idols don’t blow up fish” became an ironclad rule.
* Furina’s Hydro powers wove dreamlike illusions, while Keqing’s Lightning Stiletto became a flashy prop...
Lin Xiao became a hard-nosed manager: raising funds, teaching them common sense, resolving conflicts, and securing stages, all while recklessly testing the limits of the Anomaly Management Bureau’s crackdown. Every performance they gave was magical realism
