The Wanderings of Li Yi, Sword in Hand

Li Yi, heir to the Spirit-Guarding Workshop, enters the world carrying an ancestral ancient coin, the Dragon Vein Guide. He originally set out to uncover the truth behind his master's death, but stumbles upon the Prince of Luoyang's treasonous plot. The prince intends to cultivate the Asura Blood Art through the "Blood Pool Sacrifice" at Cold Moon Manor, using dark sorcery to control both the martial world and the imperial court and overthrow the realm.

To prevent disaster, Li Yi gathers a group of companions: Murong Xue, an expert in spirit-guarding arts; Zhang Yang, a constable chief skilled with a long spear; Lin Wan'er, a disciple of the Qingxu Taoist Temple; Master Wang, an old craftsman from the Spirit-Guarding Workshop; and a clever little yellow dog. They fight their way out of Xuanqing Manor, take refuge at Qingxu Taoist Temple and uncover a vital clue, then venture into the deep-mountain maple forest to face the Deathsworn Camp and miasma beasts, drawing ever closer to the heart of Cold Moon Manor.

The ancient coin conceals the secret of resonating with the dragon vein, the Spirit-Gathering Mirror is key to breaking the evil magic, and beneath the blood pool lies the cruel truth of human sacrifice. Meanwhile, the Prince of Luoyang's deadline for the blood sacrifice, the night of the full moon, draws ever nearer. From the notes in a hidden compartment at the Taoist temple, to the spirit-guarding traps in the maple forest, to the blood-art manual deep within the Blood Pavilion, a clash between good and evil to "guard the spirits, uphold the righteous path, thwart the plot, and save the realm" is raging in the narrow divide between the martial world and the imperial court... Can they find a way to turn the tables before the blood sacrifice is complete and avert the realm's imminent downfall?
