Yin Zichen, a washed-up actor mired in scandal, is accused by the entire internet of “driving a fan to her death.”
Shen Yanqing, a data genius with the ability to see ghosts, receives a message predicting her death on the night before her junior schoolmate falls from a building.
They both appear at the scene, where they inexplicably discover that their bodies have switched.
One is condemned by the public and beset by crises in the entertainment industry; the other keeps seeing ghosts on campus as one mystery piles on another.
Yin Zichen thinks everything is just his comeuppance, until the dead girl’s vengeful spirit appears before him, her face streaked with blood and tears. The clues she left behind point to an even deeper conspiracy:
Who sent the bloodstained doll in the anonymous package?
Why does the “insider” who suddenly appears on the campus forum know so much about the killer’s details?
“After seven days, save, ” What was the vengeful spirit about to say?
But all this is only the beginning. To switch back, they must dispel the resentment of three people who died unnatural deaths…
(Soul swap + entertainment industry + supernatural + plot-focused. The supernatural abilities only provide clues for solving cases. There is a romance, but it develops slowly.)
For the sake of the plot, some topics involving specialized knowledge are handled with a degree of dramatic license.
