Transmigrating into an Immortal Herb to Hatch the Stone Monkey

Serious version:

Fei Yunluo wrote 99,999,999 ten-thousand-word novels and created many different versions of Sun Wukong.

Some people mocked her: An adaptation isn't an excuse to make things up, and a retelling isn't the same as nonsense. Sun Wukong is a stone monkey. How could he possibly fall in love?

Fei Yunluo: If Sun Wukong understands the bonds between master and disciple, how could he not understand the love between a man and a woman?

It wasn't until she saw that lively monkey turn into a massive boulder, standing alone in the mist, that Fei Yunluo understood.

It wasn't that he didn't understand. He simply couldn't.

Silly version:

After transmigrating as an immortal plant, Fei Yunluo lamented bitterly: “The gods lied to me! I was promised an easy path to immortality, and that I'd save the Great Sage!”

She took root atop Flower-Fruit Mountain, next to a three-zhang-tall boulder.

“Wait, that rock... No way...”

Her leaves exploded with shock. “You're telling me I have to keep this rock company in prison five hundred years early?!”

To make sure Brother Monkey was born safely, she worked hard at photosynthesis and cultivation by day.

At night, she read the stone The Great Sage's Guide to Romance and instilled in it the legend of the “Great Sage, Heaven's Equal.”

Whenever the Earth God poked his head out, he hesitated before asking, “Immortal Plant, can the stone... really understand you?”

Five hundred years later, amid thunder and rain, the boulder split open in a blaze of golden light.

A drenched golden-haired monkey looked around in confusion, then pointed straight at her:

“You... you have a light around you! It's warm! I know you!”

Fei Yunluo's leaves shook wildly. “My child! Your mother watched you come out of that stone...”
