[Period] [Military Marriage] [Heiress] [Sweet Romance] [Strong Female Lead]
“Your grandmother worked so hard to cultivate ‘Gratitude to Kin.’ We can't let it die out in our hands.”
Duoduo put away the album. “Don't worry, Grandpa. I know what I'm doing. The old varieties are the roots, and the new ones are the leaves. Only strong roots can produce lush leaves.”
At dusk, the setting sun bathed the flower fields in gold. Duoduo helped Doctor Lin sit beneath the crabapple tree. Looking out over the peonies, she silently resolved to take good care of the flower fields and live up to her grandparents' hopes.
Not long after Duoduo took over the flower fields, she ran into a difficult problem. Several days of heavy rain had left standing water throughout the fields, and the roots of some peonies were starting to rot.
“What am I going to do?” Duoduo fretted, crouched on the field ridge and crying.
It's beautiful and the storyline is exciting.
