Surviving the Mist: I Am the Disaster Wizard

The fog descends, and the world dies. Five billion people are dragged into this unwinnable game of calamity. Each person has only a wooden shack on the verge of collapse for shelter. After the seven-day beginner period, the real test of survival begins. Alien beasts howl, walking corpses roam, strange entities lurk in the darkness, and the gods whisper without end. Some embark on the path of immortality, refining an entire world into a vessel for their Dao. Some burn their divinity and kindle divine fire, seeking to raise themselves to the throne of the gods! Some shatter the shackles of their genes and crush mountains of bones and rivers of blood on the battlefield. Lu Yun, however, can only hide inside his dilapidated wooden shack. “Ding! Filling complete. Spiritual snake meat synthesized!” “Ding! Filling complete. You synthesized a treasure chest (gold)!” Three identical items can be combined to create a whole new possibility. “Ding! Congratulations! You obtained a fragment of an ancient wizard’s spellbook.” At that moment, he slowly raised his head. A spark of life appeared in his deep-set eyes. “Knowledge is power! This is what it means to be a wizard!” He pieces together fragments of the laws through knowledge, and builds a staircase to madness with spells. His shelter slowly grows amid the bloodshed. From a rotten shack, it becomes an eternal tower covered in runes and magic sigils. Before he knows it, he has become the true player moving the pieces. At that moment, the heavens tremble, and the gods bow their heads. The one atop the tower looks down upon the gods. Lu Yun’s calm voice echoes through heaven and earth: “Now, kneel!”
