Guo Pu (276-324) was a native of Wenxi, Hedong, in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. His courtesy name was Jingchun. Erudite, good at ancient literature and calligraphy, good at astronomy, calendar, divination, and good at poetry. At the end of the Western Jin Dynasty, he crossed the river and joined the army for Yin You, the prefect of Xuancheng. He was favored by Wang Dao. Emperor Yuan of Jin Dynasty paid homage to Zuo Lang, co-authored "History of Jin" with Wang Yin, and moved to Shangshu Lang. Later he joined the army for Wang Dun Ji's office. He used the divination as an unlucky warning to stop Dun from plotting a rebellion, and he was killed by Dun. Later, he was given posthumously to the prefect of Hongnong. He wrote annotations for "Erya", "Dialect", "Shan Hai Jing" and "The Biography of Emperor Mu", which were passed down to the world. There is a compiled version of "Guo Hongnong Collection".
