Bai Yuchan (1134-1229), a poet of the Southern Song Dynasty, was born in Minqing, Fujian, and was born in Qiongzhou, Hainan. He was a theorist of inner alchemy. In August and autumn of the fifth year of Jiading (1212), he met Chen Nan again in Luofu Mountain and was taught the golden elixir fire formula and the five thunder method.
