The modern-day urban planner Chao Wu unexpectedly awakens in the wilderness as the decrepit god of a mountain whose worship has died out. As her divine power drains away with the loss of faith, she stands atop the ruins and makes a vow: She'll take this mountain in hand!
Starting by using her faint divine power to make wild fruit grow and guiding the mountain folk as they repair the temple, Chao Wu launches her “Mountain God Infrastructure” program. Using modern planning principles as her brush and her worshippers' faith as ink, she sketches out a vision for the barren mountain: when blasting rock to open roads, she weakens the stone with her divine power; when diverting water for irrigation, she draws on the ancient karez system; and she turns glowing moss and bluebells into “sacred mountain check-in spots.” As economic crops grow in once-impoverished woodlands, crude plank paths widen into trade routes, and a dilapidated temple is rebuilt into a bustling center of worship, Chao Wu's divine power surges. She transforms from a minor mountain god on the verge of extinction into the revered master of a famous mountain, able to subtly reshape the terrain and protect the surrounding region.
