The Top Student Hides a Little Sweetheart in His Arms

Fu Sinian of Qingteng High School is a walking collection of theorems: aloof and taciturn, with even his scratch paper covered in complex formulas. That is, until Ruan Nuonuo barges into his world with a strawberry-scented eraser.

She forgets her pen for a placement test and finds herself in an impossible situation, forced to become his deskmate. This girl, who secretly doodles little suns on her scratch paper, always knows how to bring out his “all talk, secretly soft” side. He complains that she’s clumsy, yet quietly drapes his school uniform over her when she stays up late working on a group project. He pretends to be “just passing by” at the sports meet to bring her water, teasing her that she runs like a rabbit while keeping his eyes on her for the entire race. He even treasures the anonymous love letter she accidentally slips into his things, tucking it into the notebook he never lets out of his sight.

When the icy top student draws a strawberry while working out a formula for her at the physics competition; when he saves the day at the school anniversary gala by playing a piano duet with her, whispering, “Don’t be afraid”; when Ruan Nuonuo accidentally discovers that his phone wallpaper is a candid photo of her sleeping... at last, even this perennial iceberg can no longer hide his special feelings for her.

Jiang Ye wails, “Fu, the way you look at your girl is practically dripping with affection!” Xia Tiaotiao squeals, “He’s even filled his scratch paper with her name!” Fu Sinian simply pulls the blushing Ruan Nuonuo into his arms and whispers something only the two of them understand: “From the moment I met you, the constant of my heart has been an eternal law.”

From the heart-pounding tug-of-war between high school deskmates to the sweetness overload of campus life at Qingbei, this romance, sparked by a strawberry hair clip and physics formulas, is turning an iceberg into the sweetest harbor. It turns out the little marshmallow tucked in a top student’s arms is the one and only answer to his life. Hope you enjoy it! Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions, too. Thank you!
