On the Brink of Doomsday: The Rules of Survival

Cheng Mo is an ordinary technician at a biological research institute. He lives a nine-to-five life, plans for the future with his colleague and girlfriend, Lin Xuan, and looks after his younger sister, Cheng Cheng, who suffers from mild depression.

Cheng Mo accidentally discovers a virus sample from the institute's secret "Immortality Project." Soon afterward, a global disaster breaks out. Those infected turn into bloodthirsty "living corpses," and cities descend into chaos.

Cheng Mo flees the fallen city with Lin Xuan and Cheng Cheng. Along the way, they meet Luo Yi, a former special forces soldier, and Zhao Ming, a doctor. Together, they form a survival team and head for a military-run shelter.

When they reach the shelter, they discover that it is no safe haven: even more horrifying human experiments are being conducted there. The mastermind behind it all is Cheng Mo's former superior, Xu Shiming.

- **Moral Dilemmas**: The team members face tests of survival and morality. Cheng Mo discovers that he has a special immunity to the virus and may be the key to saving humanity, but this also makes him a target for competing factions.
