Dreams, Evolution, and the Fulfillment of Value: The Seth Book, Part One

This is the most cryptic and difficult-to-understand book in the Seth Books, dictated by Jane Roberts during her lifetime. It begins with the origins of the universe.

Dreams, “Evolution,” and Value Fulfillment helps us recognize our power to create reality and our deep connection to the universe. Its central idea is that consciousness creates matter: everything in the universe, from microscopic particles to vast galaxies, is conscious and alive.

The universe was not created once in the distant past. It is continually being created in every present moment. Our physical world was actually born from the world of dreams! Early humans lived primarily in a dream state, and physical reality was more indistinct and less “solid” to them.

Every life seeks “value fulfillment.” This is not simply about survival, but about exploring potential, growing, enriching existence, and adding something unique to all things.

The book also explores how heredity and reincarnation work together to shape our life experiences. They are not fixed destinies, but frameworks of potential that we choose. Imagination and reason are not opposites: they are tools that work together to construct our experience of reality.
