Scene 1: Lian Xi is sent flying by a tree demon, but the Ghost King, Mo Ye, catches her and asks affectionately, “Want me to help? We can talk about the price!”
Lian Xi struggles out of the Ghost King’s arms and rolls her eyes. “No, thanks. Just remember to get me a pretty coffin when you come to collect my body.”
Scene 2: Lian Xi gets careless and is kidnapped by a mountain demon to be his bride. The Ghost King, Mo Ye, admires her bridal outfit from the sidelines. “Lian’er, this dress is so ugly. When we get married, I’ll personally make you the most beautiful wedding dress in the world.”
Lian Xi looks at Mo Ye, speechless. “No rush. You can wait until after I marry the mountain demon. Once he kills me, you can take my body and marry me.”
