Clear as Sorrow

This is a story I wrote by hand when I was a student. I’ve now revised it and am publishing it again.

He is handsome and charming, a wise and virtuous ruler, a master of both letters and arms who presides over an age of peace. Young or old, man or woman, all submit to him. But when he meets her, he is willing to give up his entire kingdom just to see her smile…

He is dashing, suave, and coldly handsome. Thinking he is destined to live out his days alone, he cares for nothing and does as he pleases. He never expects to meet her, and have his fate turned upside down. He would gladly trade his life for one more second by her side…

He is the martial arts alliance leader of the realm, tender as water, clever and quick-witted. Though he swore he would never fall for anyone, he is willing to give up everything just to spend a little more time with her…

She is stunningly beautiful and coolly aloof. Born in the modern age and transported to ancient times, she is neither hot-tempered nor dramatic. Virtuous and gentle, she never compromises her principles. To repay the man who saved her life, she agrees to marry into the royal family in another woman’s place. She wants nothing more than a quiet, ordinary life, never realizing that she will change everyone’s fate…

She is so beautiful that she could topple kingdoms. Men would give up their realm, their rank, even their lives for her…

All they want in return is her smile and a little more time with her by their side…
