A heads-up for readers who want to avoid the wrong book: This is a fantasy novel with lots of different elements and a relaxed, slice-of-life style.

If you want a story that gets blazing from the start, with a System cheat that steamrolls everything from beginning to end, you can move along.

If you want a cold-blooded protagonist who kills without hesitation, a flawless protagonist who never makes mistakes, or a harem, you can move along.

I’ve read too many stories with perfect protagonists who don’t feel alive. So in this story, the protagonist’s memories are sealed early on, and they grow up all over again. It takes quite a while for the memories to return, with all of them restored a little over 100 chapters in. That’s why the story has this tag; it really is a slow burn.

Encounters, everyday life, study, adventures, good food, farming, music, and making a little money. I’m a greedy person: I like life both peaceful and full of variety, and I also enjoy grand adventures.

You’ll notice echoes of many other stories, since they come from things I like. But this isn’t fanfiction. I want this to be my story, with me at the center.

About the protagonist’s identity: because of the foreshadowing and the golden finger, the story touches on who they were before transmigrating, as well as the fact that the protagonist is a dragon. But this isn’t a dragon-only story. Dragons are certainly an important element, and I want to write about dragons, but not only dragons.

If the early chapters feel frustrating, you can move along. The protagonist doesn’t take revenge for every slight or reduce everything to ashes. In my view, tolerance is a form of strength: only the strong can afford to be tolerant. Otherwise, it’s just putting up with things. That said, the protagonist isn’t a self-sacrificing saint, and the story has a healthy, positive outlook.
