Ningjia Village turned into scorched earth overnight, and Ning Wanqing, the daughter of the village doctor, took her young brother on the road to escape. On the way, she was robbed by refugees and her younger brother was unfortunately separated. In despair, Ning Wanqing met Ji Linyuan, a former general who was wanted by the court.
Two fugitives with very different identities went from being wary of each other to becoming dependent on each other in troubled times. A flash flood accidentally rushed them into the isolated "Taoyuan Valley" - here the ancient farming civilization was preserved. The residents were unaware of the wars outside and lived a self-sufficient and peaceful life.

As they gradually integrated into this utopia, they discovered that Taoyuan Valley was facing the threat of the mysterious "blight", and the war from the outside world was approaching this pure land step by step.
Faced with the crisis of identity exposure, the suspicion of the Taoyuan elders, and the emerging feelings for each other, the two must make a choice between protecting this ideal home or returning to the old world. When Ji Linyuan discovered that Taoyuan Valley had an unknown connection with his family, a story about the survival of civilization and personal redemption slowly unfolded...
