This is the extraordinary coming-of-age story of Su Qingli, a young woman from a family of physicians in Jiangnan. At seven, she defies prejudice against women and devotes herself to studying medical texts. At nine, she awakens the Medicine King's Spiritual Vein, gaining the ability to turn poison into healing rain and revealing her talent for saving lives. From the age of twelve, she becomes embroiled in her family's secrets. She discovers that her mother, Lin Ruoxue, is controlled by a puppet Gu, that her father, Su Hanzhou, is actually a Shadow Guard of Medicine King Valley, and that the antagonist Shen Mo will stop at nothing to seize the Medicine King's Token. Amid secret-passage expeditions and Gu-poison crises, Qingli joins two tokens to activate the Medicine King's Token, forges a Gu-Eroding Blade, and grasps the art of healing and combat known as the Twin-Birth Curse Net.
After surviving the Blood Gu conspiracy and the Poison Abyss invasion, Qingli rescues her birth mother and unites the martial world to form an alliance against the Abyss. She revolutionizes medicine through techniques such as spiritual-vein resonance and sound therapy, eventually awakening the power of her entire marrow at the heart of the Poison Abyss and sealing a ninth-rank Gu formation. After the war, she opens the Hall of Universal Healing to all, promotes the principles of men and women cultivating together and combining medicine with martial arts, and makes the idea of women studying medicine widely accepted. She then travels the world to pass on her knowledge, ensuring that her compassion and medical skills are handed down through the generations. Centered on the idea that a compassionate heart can break with convention and the healing arts can benefit all under heaven, the story depicts a woman physician's journey to stay true to her ideals amid power struggles and constraints, brimming with Eastern fantasy and a spirit of innovation.
It's really good-looking, with a real female protagonist, no blindness, no need for a male protagonist to save her, traditional martial arts➕fantasy, reincarnation, not time travel.
