Fifteen years ago, a coastal city was rocked by the “Nursery Rhyme Murders.” The killer modeled the crimes on the events of the British nursery rhyme “Ten Little Soldiers,” and all five victims died in the ways described in the rhyme. The case eventually went cold. Fifteen years later, a similar killing method resurfaces. Nursery rhyme cards appear beside the new victims, along with a wooden soldier figurine engraved with the words “To be continued.” Lin Shen and Lu Wei team up to investigate, only to find that the case is connected not only to the truth behind the old murders, but also to the secrets of a wealthy local family and an organ trafficking black market. As the investigation deepens, Lin Shen and Lu Wei become targets of the killer, while the secrets they each conceal begin to emerge amid the danger.
