The Spirit Pearl Calamity: Shadows of the Mystic Abyss

On a rainy night, ordinary food-delivery boy Song Chen encounters the mysterious young aristocrat Ling Yu and unexpectedly obtains a string of beads called the Tracing-Origin Pearls, which can channel strange powers. When Ling Yu suddenly disappears, the bracelet resonates with the Qi-Gathering Jade Pendant Song Chen found at a ghost market while he is being pursued by an evil cultivator. Only then does he realize he has been drawn into a thousand-year-old secret spanning the realms of humans, dragons, and the dead. The Tracing-Origin Pearls are not merely a divine artifact for tracking people; they are also closely linked to the Soul-Quelling Pendant, which seals the gate to the underworld.

As the black-robed cultivator closes in, Song Chen receives help from Lin Xiaoyu and the mysterious youth Shen Mo. At a mass grave, he follows the guidance of Shi Gandang; at the harbor, he hears a warning from the Dragon Prince Ao Bing. Bit by bit, he uncovers Ling Yu’s identity as an envoy of the Dragon Palace. Ling Yu did not leave the Tracing-Origin Pearls behind by chance: he used himself as bait to lead Song Chen to awaken the Soul-Quelling Pendant and stop the rift to the underworld from growing. When the two halves of the Tracing-Origin Pearls merge in Song Chen’s blood, he witnesses the truth about his elders’ efforts to protect the divine artifact and discovers a hidden link between his own bloodline and the pearls.

Yet the crisis in the underworld is not over. The traces left behind by the black-robed man point to a forbidden area in the East Sea Dragon Palace, while the underworld’s corruption inside Young Master Yu and the awakened bloodline mark on Song Chen foretell that the battle over the divine artifact has only just entered a deeper whirlpool. They must journey to the Eye of the East Sea and face the unknown dangers of the Dragon Palace’s forbidden grounds. The true power of the Tracing-Origin Pearls, it seems, is still shrouded in even thicker mystery...
