The morning after their wedding night
She said, "Your Highness, do you know that you are so... handsome and peerless, without equal in this world... Truly, you are dangerously alluring."
He said, "As long as I can bewitch you, that's enough. I can be even more alluring... My beloved consort, would you like to find out?"
She ducked back under the covers and mumbled, "Your Highness, take your time. Military affairs come first. Please excuse me for not seeing you off."
Chen Shu, an overworked office drone from the 21st century, wakes up to find that she has transmigrated into the body of Chen Shuyin, the legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Pingyuan in the Great Yin Dynasty. She only wants to eat her fill and wait out her days, but finds herself drawn deeper and deeper into a web of political intrigue. Since she can't escape, she'll face each challenge as it comes!
At the Spring Banquet, Chen Shuyin stuns the crowd with a modern pipa rendition of "Blue and White Porcelain" and takes the opportunity to deal with her scheming stepmother and younger sister. At the hunting grounds, Chen Shuyin is thrown from her horse and injured. Chi Moyan searches everywhere for her, heedless of the stormy night. Afterward, Chi Moyan intends to petition the emperor for permission to marry her, but Chen Shuyin loses her memories while recovering from her injuries, and her personality gradually reverts to her modern self. Yet this different side of her only makes Chi Moyan fall even harder for her. Fortunately, even without her memories, Chen Shuyin still chooses to marry him, and the two set off together for the frontier city.
There, Chen Shuyin uses improved modern techniques to cleverly overcome one difficult problem after another, helping Chi Moyan obtain an imperial decree lifting the ban on returning to court without the emperor's permission. They fight side by side on the battlefield and win a great victory, while the frontier city flourishes anew. Later, the two return to the capital to receive their rewards and titles.
Back in the capital, the endless rules and trivial affairs only make their love grow stronger...
