Su Yuan transmigrates to a parallel world and, from the start, gets eliminated in the first round of the talent show Where the Actors Belong.
After the show kicks him out, Su Yuan awakens an all-purpose career System. By earning popularity points, he can unlock different professions through a lottery.
When the System awakens, Su Yuan receives a beginner's gift pack, which unlocks the profession of Special Forces King.
Su Yuan: But what am I supposed to do with a Special Forces King, System? Acting is such a great way to make a living. I just want to be an actor!
As it happens, a famous director is making a military film and can't find the right actor for one of the supporting roles.
By chance, Su Yuan gets an audition.
During the audition, Su Yuan fires a Barrett rifle, stunning the entire crew. He passes the audition with flying colors.
When the film comes out, Su Yuan unexpectedly wins Best Newcomer.
But this is only the beginning.
He unlocks the profession of chef and joins Mushroom House. One simple braised pork dish has celebrities from every corner begging to appear on the show.
He unlocks the profession of equestrian and competes in professional horseback archery, crushing the field and claiming the championship.
He unlocks the profession of basketball player, joins the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, and shows off a free-throw-line dunk during the game.
