Several short stories are quite interesting, and have the feel of a Cthulhu story. The author has incorporated some stories from the Classic of Mountains and Seas into it. Each short story is quite interesting, as if you have entered a small adventure.
I kind of want to see the author write a long novel in which the protagonist goes through small unit stories, solves problems, and solves the mysteries one by one.
