He was the last literary master of Blue Star, spending his life bent over his desk writing books. In his final moments, all he wished was to hear once more the poem “Composed in the Main Hall at Dongshan on a Spring Day.”
But when he opened his eyes, his soul had crossed into another world!
This was a world of mighty martial arts. Warriors tempered their bodies to shatter mountains, and immortal sects wielded energy to pluck stars. Only the literary path had fallen into decline, with scholars reduced to the lowest rung and made the butt of every joke.
He became “Wang Ye, courtesy name Zhengru,” a spoiled young heir and the son of the leading Confucian scholar of his generation.
Who could have guessed that this time, one work, “The Outer Chronicles of Spring and Autumn,” would shake the Literary Pavilion and rock the imperial court!
He rose to fame with a single lecture at the Imperial Academy, drawing the attention of immortal sects from every mountain gate.
From being mocked as a member of “the weakest class, the literati,” he became a legendary figure who founded a school and whose Dao stood above all arts!
He cultivated the Dao through literature and proved his heart through his writing. Battling against the current, he forged a supreme path to immortality, one where literature could bring peace to all under Heaven and words could move mountains and rivers!
“I have a word that can decide life and death; I have a brush that can write all beneath Heaven!”
I shall carry on the literary Dao for all ages, and set right the thoughts of all living beings!
Beautiful, very beautiful, highly recommended. It has been a long time since I read a novel seriously. Perhaps this novel is the only one that made me understand that novels can be written like this! So five stars are a must, and recommendations are also a must. After all, everyone should know about this very good novel. I'm still not finished!
Anyway, no one is watching, so you can rate yourself.
