Awakening the Dragon's Reverse Scale: I Prove the Heavenly Way Through Devouring

When a drop of demon blood falls into the abyss, can a boy spurned by fate wield his own backlash as a blade and shatter the order of the Three Realms?

Lu Wuya was once the most unremarkable outer sect disciple of the Xuantian Sect. His meridians were blocked, his spiritual root withered, and even the most basic breathing exercises were beyond him. He endured the mockery and cold stares of his fellow disciples, yet refused to bow his head. That night, he fell into the forbidden abyss. A blood-red vortex emerged from the depths of his sea of consciousness: the Heavenly Demon Backlash System awakened, and the wheels of fate began to turn in reverse.

Beneath the Wheel of Destiny, he stood with a blazing crimson sky overhead as the phantoms of three thousand demon gods circled above him. Every act of devouring was a blasphemy against the righteous path; every step toward growth demanded a price in his humanity. The Heavenly Secrets Pavilion sealed away the flow of fortune, Return-to-Ruins Island hid spiritual veins, and murderous intent stirred beneath the Burial God Abyss. He proceeded with careful steps, yet sank ever deeper.

The Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation rose amid blood rain, while the Netherworld Flame burned away his devoted heart. He transformed through devouring and rose through backlash. The Chaos Demon Body awakened, and the first glimmer of an imperishable body forged through ten thousand tribulations emerged. But as his power swelled, inverse scales appeared on his forehead, demonic markings spread, and his sanity gradually slipped away. He had thought he had mastered fate, only to discover that he had merely fallen into another, deeper abyss.
