The Cold Empress Consort Takes the Capital by Storm with Her Mystical Arts, and the Emperor Kneels

Leng Mengyi was a modern mysticism blogger before she suddenly transmigrated into the body of an out-of-favor imperial consort banished to the Cold Palace. Looking at the mottled palace walls leaking rain, Leng Mengyi shrugged and gave up: “I'll lie flat in the Cold Palace and enjoy the good life!” Who could have guessed that a casual fortune-telling for a palace maid would come true, that the match she predicted for a eunuch would become reality, or that she'd use a peachwood sword to drive away the “filthy things” haunting the palace?

From then on, people trampled the threshold of the Cold Palace.

Powerful ministers sought career advice, noblewomen asked her to dispel their bad luck, and even the arrogant Consort Dowager brought gold and silver to beg for a charm of protection. Most absurd of all, the stone-faced emperor actually climbed over the wall in the middle of the night and pinned her beside the bed, his eyes red: “My beloved consort, could you tell my fortune and see how things look for my empire?”

Leng Mengyi raised an eyebrow as she toyed with a coin, then sneered. “Your Majesty, didn't you say I was pretending to be a sorceress?”

The man bent down and kissed away the amusement in her eyes. “Now I'm asking my beloved consort... to take pity on me?”
