The Four Little Brats Are All Villains, and They’ve Spoiled Me Rotten

Su Qingyuan is a lazy freeloader who makes a living writing underdog-villain comeback stories. After she transmigrates into a book, she becomes a poor widow killed by the four sons she wrote, who will grow from street thugs into powerful villains!

System: “Ding! Four future kingpins of the black market detected. Host must set them straight before they come of age, or they’ll starve to death on the streets!”

Su Qingyuan looks at the scene before her...

The eldest is stealing steamed buns. The moment he sees her, he stuffs one into her arms. “Ma, it’s still warm. I haven’t bitten it.”

The second is fighting a stray dog. After winning, he comes running back with half a flatbread in his mouth. “Ma, here. The dog’s not as strong as me.”

The third is writing flyers for a fortune-teller. He looks up and calls, “Ma, I predicted you should lie flat today.”

The fourth is rummaging through a pile of medicinal dregs. He holds up a blade of grass and says in a babyish voice, “Ma, this can cure your cough. It’s not poisonous~”

Su Qingyuan: “...Lie flat? I just want to lie around and be taken care of down here at the bottom of society in ancient times!”

And so the poor widow’s daily life becomes...

“Shenyuan, go sell Ma’s handkerchiefs at the market. Use the money to buy meat.”

“Molie, keep an eye on the stall. If anyone tries to steal from us, beat him until he cries.”

“Xuanji, find a way to get customers to pay more, but don’t scam them.”

“Wushang, watch your brothers and make sure they don’t get into trouble.”

The boys: “Yes, Ma!”

Then...

The eldest uses his street smarts to become a young merchant, monopolizing the embroidery trade on the whole street.

The second puts his fighting skills to use as a bodyguard. Anyone who dares touch his mother gets beaten up.

The third uses his fortune-telling patter to become a “little Zhuge Liang,” solving people’s problems and earning money to support his mother.

The fourth learns medicine from the discarded herbs and becomes a young physician, treating every kind of defiance (and handing out laxatives).

Watching Su Qingyuan go from wearing patched clothes to lounging on a silk chaise, from embroidering her own handkerchiefs to being too lazy to move a finger, the System issues a desperate alarm:
