Family Compound Life in the 1960s

Jiang Die never imagined that she would leave this world because of endless overtime. Her only thought at the time was that, if there was a next life, she would absolutely spend it lying back in comfort. She would never be a workhorse again. Enjoying the present was what mattered most.

Luckily, she was an orphan, so she didn't have to worry about her family grieving after she died. With these muddled thoughts, her consciousness faded away completely.

When she became conscious again, she was kicked awake. Her whole body was submerged in water in a cramped space, and she was kicked from time to time. Her eyes were tightly shut, but her mind was clear.

She stayed in that cramped space for more than five months, until at last she came wailing into the world. Only then did she realize she had arrived in the 1960s, an era when people could barely get enough to eat.

Luckily, this time around she had parents and family. As she grew up, she had a childhood friend by her side. He was so devious, but wasn't that exactly to her taste?
