In a hidden place far to the west of the continent, Lingyin Village lay quietly like a pearl lost in the sea. An ancient well wreathed in faint light and a long-forgotten legend from antiquity quietly bound the fate of a young man named Lin Yu. An orphan who had depended on the villagers’ charity, he had a birthmark shaped like a phoenix on his left arm. Then, one fateful day, it unleashed power capable of shaking heaven and earth. When a mysterious abyss opened and hideous monsters roared out, only he could turn the tide with the power of his birthmark. In doing so, he also uncovered a grave crisis: the seal on the Spirit Ruins was weakening.
The yellowed books secretly kept by the old doctor Uncle Su recorded the boundless treasures and world-destroying power hidden within the Spirit Ruins. Legend had it that, in ancient times, the arrival of the Spirit Ruins brought a storm of blood and slaughter. Only a mysterious powerhouse had managed to seal them beneath the Ninth Heavenly Palace, using their own soul as the key. Now, monsters had appeared, and black-robed figures had attacked the village. Everything pointed to the seal being on the verge of collapse. To protect his home and uncover the truth of his origins, Lin Yu set out on a journey with Uncle Su giving his life to protect him.
The road ahead was shrouded in mist. Following the guidance of his birthmark, he entered Wuyin Village, only to fall into another encirclement by the black-robed figures. The turning star chart concealed a mystery, and clues to seven mysterious tokens emerged only faintly. With dark forces in hot pursuit and the power of the Spirit Ruins inscrutable, can this boy chosen by fate grasp the secrets of cultivation through trials of blood and fire, gather all the tokens, and reopen the Spirit Ruins? And when the Spirit Ruins truly emerge, will he become the architect of a new world, or the force that repeats the mistakes of antiquity? A stunning legend spanning time and space, one that concerns the fate of all living beings, begins here!
