[No CP] [The heroine has no emotions] [Single-mindedly conquering dungeons]
[Content warning: This is not a story about loving women, so please don't expect a strong feminist story. The tone is mostly serious, with a little dark humor. There will be plenty of stories told from the perspectives of other players, and both male and female supporting characters will get their moments in the spotlight and have a presence. They will also die equally.]
“Congratulations, you have been selected to participate in the Rules of Horror game. Death is the only way to be eliminated.”
Blue Star has been split by a higher-dimensional world into 100 safe zones. Each dungeon randomly selects 100 people to take part in a deadly rules-based game. If they fail, a region disappears forever. Even victory only earns them a brief respite.
Mo An is the most unusual patient in a psychiatric hospital.
She feels no fear and has no empathy. All she has is an obsession with winning.
Yet while everyone else breaks down and screams in the dungeons, only Mo An realizes:
Those so-called “psychiatric symptoms”
are precisely the weapons the higher-dimensional world fears most.
This book is really great. I don't think much about gender when reading a book, but many of the male or female protagonists have very obvious gender characteristics. The female protagonist in this book is very divine, and the men and women in the plot do not have stereotypes. They will deliberately describe some of the characteristics of gender. The overall plot is relatively gentle, and some logic can be understood by ordinary people. The sense of substitution is also good, and the overall plot direction is not always particularly depressing. Although it gives people a sense of reality, it will occasionally use some funny little details to liven up the atmosphere. It prefers the national sports genre but does not have patriotic feelings for marketing. There are not many mindless and vulgar plots that simply stimulate dopamine in the brain. Many netizens who post barrages are also very humane. This is how citizens should behave in the face of disaster. I feel that many people in the book are flesh and blood. The heroine is simply the real higher animal that everyone in the contemporary era hopes to become. She is not restricted by gender. She is not a man or a woman, but a human being.
The author can change the title of the book, which will make it more attractive to read. At present, I don't feel that there is any connection between the title of the book and this article. When I first read the title, I thought it had cp, but I wanted to bet on no cp. So now, I only like no cp. The writing is okay, and you can be fooled.
1. The writing style is quite unique. How can I put it? It's a bit "dry" (I can't find a suitable adjective and my knowledge is limited). It's the kind of book that if you can't stand it, you may flip through half a chapter and you won't remember anything. 2. Human survival comes first. In addition to the protagonist, other ordinary attackers are described. Everyone is fighting for the survival of mankind, and they are all exploring different paths. Even if they are about to die, they still want to leave a message of running for those who come after them. Another point is that although he describes many other people, it doesn't make me dissatisfied because he doesn't describe one person each time, and it doesn't make me feel like he's stealing the spotlight from the protagonist. 3. The author has participated in many replies in the comment area, probably because the novel is quite "dry" and many people have raised questions, and the author has been proactive in replying. One example is when Su Youyou was the first supporting character. I really didn't react at the time. The perspective changed too suddenly. I only found out after reading the discussion in the comment area.
It's pretty good-looking, evenly matched. The heroine doesn't have too many psychological activities, redundant descriptions of emotional tendencies, or weird appearance descriptions, which weakens the sense of gender, because both men and women face copies and death equally, and there is no annoying Mugen flow stereotype character who screams after being selected. It describes more about the glory of human nature rather than the darkness. I was particularly touched when I saw those people risking their lives just to send a few supplies to the challengers. Because there are many people in this world who contribute silently behind the scenes. Their efforts may have no results and will not be remembered by anyone, but there are still people who continue to work hard.
The writing is good, the heroine is not brainless, she has an IQ, and can accurately judge the situation without emotions. The copy is very interesting. In reality, it is not a facial expression of comments or trolls from various countries calling war, but a united front of mankind. The barrage is also very active in providing information to help the protagonist pass the level. You can see the shining point of human unity. Even if the supporting characters don't clear the level, they won't be scolded. This is very well written. I also read the low-scoring review and didn't see anything wrong with Convenience Store Ghost Stories. For those who have been persuaded to quit, I recommend reading this article.
First of all, I think this book is actually quite good so far. The author's writing is passable. Those who usually prefer to read Infinite Streaming can get it. Those who don't have strict requirements on the subject matter of rules and monsters can also join it. Those who have some requirements for rules and monsters can take it in as appropriate. Next, I will talk about the deduction points for this book that I have seen so far. Rather than a strange story about rules, this book is currently more like an infinite stream of battle royale (my reading point when writing the review is at Sweet Home 51). The strange stories about rules are more like a fashionable little element in this book. The truth behind the rules does not seem to be that important. Why the rules are like this does not seem to have any meaning. It is more about the bloody and brutal killings after violation. The rules themselves are not very protective, but they can restrain the weirdness. This makes me, how should I say, want to laugh. The rules are absolutely correct because they can protect the people in that situation. Just like you need to use cold medicine when you have a cold, or you need to use antipyretics when you have a fever. The rules of the strange talk are symptomatic, and their essence lies in the fact that careful thinking is scary (and rough thinking is scary), and "cognitive pollution". The emergence of "rules" makes the "rules" themselves more protective. In my opinion, being ruthless does not mean that you will not be polluted. The focus of cognitive pollution is actually on cognition, which is to make atheists believe in God (not to make you believe in gods but to make you believe that God does exist). The writing is pretty good in other aspects, but it would be better to read as few comments as possible in the early stage (mainly the first ghost story) to have a better experience (personal opinion). The author's writing style is also pretty good. At the moment, it seems that I can at least read and understand the basics and be self-consistent. The reason why this star is deducted is mainly because this ghost story with rules is not very regular.
It's quite nice to watch. It focuses on the plot of the dungeon, and the barrage is also an effective supplement. The mode is the same dungeon, with multiple different players working together. The barrage can directly prompt clues based on other players' exploration performance, but there will be a slight delay, but the overall look is good and it feels like everything has been done. Filter's barrages are not brainless, nor are they watery or verbose. They look quite relaxed. The heroine has some mental problems. There is no fear, and her mood is very indifferent. She takes it as it comes, and is cautious when exploring strategies. She will take the gamble when it's time to do so. She is very sensible.
It's very good. It writes about the clearance or failure of other chosen ones. It's not the kind of game that can only be completed by the protagonist's special talent. The characters of each raider are also three-dimensional. (I have read a book before where the male protagonist is still a female ghost when he is in danger, which is completely inconsistent with the theory described.), The characters of this book are still standing up. The officials also played a role and did not become a bragging machine for the protagonist. Under the general background, human beings are still relatively united, no one is about to die, and countries are still scheming and scheming.
I like the perspective of this book. The setting of providing clues from the perspectives of various other people/volunteers risking their lives to provide props is actually very thick. It feels a bit delayed by the character of the protagonist's ruthless way. However, it is really cool to push the copy of ruthless way. Come on.
A very good book about the strange rules of group portraits in the apocalypse. For the theme of Rules and Ghost Stories + Apocalypse, it is necessary to create an apocalyptic atmosphere just right while combining the order and weirdness of Rules and Ghost Stories to make the narrative complete and not fragmented. The threshold is not high, but it is difficult to improve, and it requires a lot of writing skills from the author. This book handles this aspect very delicately, and I feel that the author has some writing-related background (laughs). Compared with other types of rule-based ghost stories, this work is more outstanding in its meticulousness in creating the apocalyptic background environment than its ingenuity in copy design. I hope the author can continue to maintain it, come on 😄😄😄
