Cheng Yun, a graduate student in archaeology, accidentally triggers an ancient tomb formation and transmigrates to a world of cultivation, taking over the body of Chu Lingxiao, a deceased prodigy of the Xuantian Sect.
He uses a jade pendant passed down through his family to disguise his identity, but unexpectedly awakens an ancient constitution, the "Xuantian Spirit Meridian," and is named the sect's Holy Son. Yet his transmigration was no accident. The mark of the Xuantian Pearl on his chest is tied to a cataclysm that comes once every thousand years. The Blood Fiend Sect watches hungrily, and undercurrents stir within the sect.
Cheng Yun must grow quickly in this perilous world of cultivation and uncover the truth behind his transmigration. But he does not know that the real Chu Lingxiao's remnant soul still survives, or that the sect master is concealing a shocking conspiracy...
