Have You Missed Me Today?

A sweet preview: college campus romance, high on the sweetness

[Cheerful sweet girl VS cool, aloof guy]

Years later, an off-topic interview during a visit to their alma mater suddenly trended one day.

A first-year student at Mingda High School gazed up with sparkling eyes and held a microphone out to Hui Lu. “Senior, did you ever like a girl in your class?”

Hui Lu answered without hesitation. “Yes.”

The microphone turned to Yu Yi. “What about you? Did you ever like a boy in your class?”

Yu Yi glanced at the man beside her. “Yes. I pursued him in high school.”

Then she added with a grumble, “They say young love hurts your grades, but not his. His scores kept hitting new highs, so I broke up with him.”

The student looked crestfallen. “What a shame.”

Yu Yi said, “A reminder to all teenagers: don’t date too young.”

Hui Lu never took his eyes off Yu Yi. When she finished, he said, “It wasn’t a shame. I won her back in college.”

He reached for her hand, and only then did the student notice that they were wearing matching wedding rings.
