The novel tells the story of Liu Bang's legendary experience from a commoner to the establishment of the Han Dynasty in the first person.
Liu Bang, formerly known as Liu Ji, was a young man who despised farm work and was regarded as a "rogue" in the countryside. Although he was scolded by his father Taigong, he did not do farming and drank and had fun with his friends all day long. Later he became the chief of the pavilion in Surabaya and met Xiao He. During a trip to Xianyang, he witnessed the grand scene of Qin Shihuang's tour, which inspired his ambition to "act like a real man."
