When chaos first divided, that which rose became Heaven, that which sank became the Netherworld, and what lay between became Earth. Thus, the Heavenly Dao continually took from those with abundance to supplement those in need, plundering and devouring the origins of the Earthly Dao and Ghostly Dao. Hongjun, the Sage of the Heavenly Dao, was originally a being of the earthly realm. After obtaining the Heavenly Dao’s Primordial Violet Qi, he became a sage and thereafter served the Heavenly Dao, oppressing and deceiving the beings of the Earthly Dao.
