Li Chenzhou × Wen Yufei
(An intensely controlling male lead × a gentle, fragile heroine)
You shackled me, yet I crave the warmth of the pain.
"Merchant clan heir × adopted sister and intelligence agent|
Taking by force × Stockholm syndrome romance"
Wen Yufei is the most obedient blade in the Li family.
As Old Master Li’s adopted daughter, she was raised from childhood to be the perfect subordinate: loyal, quiet, and incapable of resistance.
Until Li Chenzhou took over the family.
The man who had lurked in the shadows for years used ruthless force to wipe out his opponents, and he did not spare her, his “younger sister” in name only.
He clipped her wings and caged her in a gilded prison,
yet late at night he would grip her throat and laugh softly.
She should have hated him.
But when his bloodstained hand brushed her face,
when he pulled her into his arms amid a storm of bullets,
she shamefully found herself...
addicted to the pain.
“Chenzhou” is his name, and her doom.
“Yufei” is the name of the loyalty she offered,
and of the soul stained red.
Li Chenzhou | The Li family’s new head
“I don’t want an obedient dog. I want a wolf that bares its throat to me even as it bites.”, Brutal and domineering, addicted to control, cruel to everyone, yet pathologically devoted to her alone.
Wen Yufei | The Li family’s adopted daughter / head of its underground intelligence unit
“He taught me to shoot, taught me to betray, and in the end taught me... that love is sweetness tasted in poison.”, Gentle as a lamb on the surface, she is skilled in psychological games. In the end, she loses herself completely between submission and resistance.
In this game played in the name of love, there are no winners.
This novel is amazing! The female protagonist is strong, intelligent and capable of quarreling, and the male protagonist is a super reliable and guiding lover. Their relationship is natural and tacit. The urban worldview full of suspense is very interesting, and all the supporting characters have memorable points. The heroine's revenge career line and emotional line are intertwined. Although there are many twists and turns, the whole process is high-energy and the pace is fast and not procrastinating. In the end, HE has a happy ending, and I highly recommend it to book lovers who love strong men, strong women, and suspenseful plots!
Suspense novels, my favorite, the storyline is gripping
