Slaying My Way Through Journey to the West with Daoist Horror, Until the Old Ones Name Me the God of Theater

[Modern fantasy + dark and bloody + Cthulhu + grotesque + revenge + Journey to the West + My House of Horrors + The God of Opera]

This is an age of “wearing the skin of gods and performing their roles,” where ordinary people take the stage and become gods.

My girlfriend took the money my grandfather needed for treatment and used it to boost her idol's ranking and help him ascend to godhood. Her idol then slaughtered everyone in my hometown, and she didn't hesitate to kill me to please him.

“You only lost your life and your family. My darling lost his chance to become a god!”

The moment I crawled back from hell to the human world, I decided to take my revenge on those two scoundrels with the most deranged performance imaginable.

Rip out bones to make a staff, gouge out eyes to refine them, kill gods and flay them alive. They say actors who get too deeply into their roles will be punished by heaven?

Then let every immortal and Buddha in the sky see what it really means to get into character!

The curtain rises on the stage of the gods:

When I play the Great Sage, the court of the Jade Emperor kneels to watch!

When I take on the role of a Taoist priest, the Three Pure Ones bow before me!

When I don my stage costume, even Cthulhu buys a ticket!

[Congratulations! You have unlocked the ultimate “God of Opera in the Journey to the West” achievement!]

[Special note: What the audience believes is false; when the Taoist priest goes mad, that is the truth.]

(The protagonist gets very deranged later, on a par with Huozige. Readers with weak stomachs should proceed with caution.)
