The Legend of Zanghai: The Spoiled Heir and the Vengeful Grand Secretary

A fanfiction based on the TV series The Legend of Zang Hai.

“This life, I’ll make that old dog watch as his own skin is turned into a lantern!”

In his previous life, Zang Hai schemed tirelessly for revenge, only to die alongside Zhuang Zhixing after they both fell from a cliff. When he opened his eyes again, he was back on the night the Kuai family was massacred. He found his enemy, Zhuang Luyin, holding a knife to his father’s throat. “Heir, how did you get reborn too?”

Zhuang Zhixing toyed with his wine cup, his eyes bloodshot. “Because I want to see how you plan to kill my father this time.”

“Two male leads, both reborn + revenge pushed to the limit + a battle across time”

One is a geomancy prodigy returned from the dead, the phoenix scar on his back chronicling each turn of the deathly cycle.

The other is a vengeful demon beneath the façade of a wastrel, reciting his enemies’ birth dates and times even when drunk.

When they discover that they both remember their past lives

Zang Hai presses his blade to Zhuang Zhixing’s throat. “Why did you take that arrow for me in our last life?”

Zhuang Zhixing smiles as he swallows blood. “So I could kill you with my own hands in this life, of course.”

“This time, I’m changing not the ending, but the moment we met.”
