After I Revealed I Was Taking Steroids, My Girlfriend's Childhood Friend Panicked

On the day of the swimming finals, I announced that I had taken performance-enhancing drugs.

The officials confirmed several times that doping at an international competition meant disqualification and a lifetime ban from the sport.

I couldn't have cared less.

But Liu Hao, my girlfriend's childhood friend, panicked.

In my previous life, I had been widely recognized as a swimming prodigy.

Yet in the middle of a race, my whole body suddenly went weak, and my arms and legs stopped responding. In the end, I finished with a score of zero.

Meanwhile, Liu Hao, an athlete of mediocre ability, won the championship using a breaststroke technique I had invented.

My fans unfollowed me en masse, sending tens of thousands of abusive messages every day.

Someone posted a fake video online of me partying at nightclubs, claiming that all I ever did was have fun and that I never trained.

Overnight, I became a person everyone despised.

With no other choice, the swimming team kicked me out.

My parents were dragged into the scandal too, and both were stabbed to death by haters.

Completely broken, I slit my wrists and killed myself.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day before the finals.
