A New Work
This is a true and legendary story that once took place on the banks of the Huai River. In China, the Huai is the nation's third-largest river, after the Yangtze and the Yellow River. Like those two, it is a mother river that gave rise to the Chinese people. The Huai generally flows west to east, rushing for thousands of miles before pouring into the sea, just like the Yangtze and the Yellow River. But after entering Huaiyuan County in Anhui Province, it changes course and flows from south to north.
I grew up on the eastern bank of the Huai, southwest of Huaiyuan County. Naturally, people in my hometown refer to the banks of the river as the east bank and the west bank.
Ever since I was a boy, I have heard old people tell many heroic tales about Han Weiguo, a great man from our hometown. In the dark and tragic years between the fall of the Qing dynasty and the founding of New China, he and his wife, Guan Linfeng, who ruled the mountains as outlaws, led their brothers in arms to protect the innocent, punish evil, fight the Japanese invaders, and help the Communist liberation forces take on the Kuomintang reactionaries. Their many brave deeds were full of wits and daring, perilous escapes, and narrow brushes with death. They were deeply moving and worthy of admiration. I welcome everyone to read my work on Tomato Novel. I hope you enjoy it. Your support gives me the motivation to write, and I will do my best to tell every story well!
The plot of this book is organized and the story is compact. The protagonist is flexible and responsible.
Nearly half of the time I listened to and read this book, I felt that history is a bright mirror, and we can better understand the present by looking at the past. Great book!
