A Crazy 1970s Detective Flirts with Me

A twisted criminal-investigation expert x a fiery female detective: solving cases and secret crushes heat up in tandem!

Linjiang City, the 1970s.

I'm Lin Xiaoman, the only female detective at the local police station. I solve cases with my fists and crack them with my instincts.

That day, I met him: Shen Yan.

A criminal-investigation expert from the provincial department, dressed in a suit and as cold as an iceberg. The first time we met, he gripped my wrist, stared at my stopped watch, and smiled a little crazily.

"Perfect. It's stopped at exactly the time she was killed."

From then on, I investigated cases, and he followed me. I threw punches, and he smiled. I searched for clues, and he had already arranged the "coincidences."

The killer grew more and more ruthless, and I grew less and less sure who was watching whom.

Until one day, I found a letter addressed to me in his desk drawer:

"Lin Xiaoman, if you weren't the light, I wouldn't be this well-behaved."

Murder may be justified, but you're the exception.

(Told in third person, not first person!)

For those looking for it: They get married in Chapter 18! The romance between the leads isn't slow-burn!

P.S. Shen Yan is a forensic pathologist!
