"Glory on Wheels: BMW's Road to Rebirth" tells the story of the BMW brand's rebirth after going through many hardships. BMW originated from the Bavarian Aircraft Factory in 1916 and transformed into the production of motorcycles and cars after World War I. During World War II, the BMW factory was bombed and was taken over by the Allied forces after the war. The equipment was confiscated and it could only make a living by producing kitchenware and bicycles. Later, BMW started to rebuild from the motorcycle business, launching the BMW 501 in 1952, but the high costs put the company into crisis. It was not until the 1960s, when the Quandt family acquired part of BMW's shares and BMW launched cost-effective "new series" models, such as the 1500 and 2002, that it regained a new lease of life. Since then, BMW has continued to develop, establishing the M department to build high-performance cars, forming a product matrix, and gradually becoming a world-renowned luxury car manufacturer.
