[Political Intrigue] [History] [Wits and Strategy] [Imperial Court]
His soul transmigrates into the body of Lu Yuan, the son of a disgraced official at the end of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. Imprisoned in the Imperial Prison, he stands on the brink of exile!
His father has been framed, the family has fallen into decline, the Yan faction holds power, and the nation is in ruins, on the verge of collapse!
At this critical moment, Lu Yuan comes up with a plan: offer Jiajing ways to raise money!
The core strategy, “Memorial on Three Urgent Priorities”:
Coastal defense: Lift the maritime ban and let officials supervise private enterprises → wealth pours into the southeast and Japanese pirates are put to the sword! The national treasury grows tenfold!
Border troubles: Use the frontier to sustain the frontier, with military farms and border markets → secure the northern frontier and turn enemies into friends! Military expenses down 50%!
Officialdom: Evaluate officials on actual results and use sealed memorials to hear the people's concerns → clean up the court and give officials a whole new outlook! Administrative efficiency triples!
Finance: Survey all farmland and impose taxes on everyone alike → the treasury overflows, and nothing can hold back the new policies!
Backward agriculture → introduce high-yield crops + scientific farming methods = food production increases by 1,000%! Famine? Not a chance!
A corrupt army → modern military training manual + flintlock rifles + breech-loading cannons = a wolf-tiger army!
Crush the Japanese pirates, defeat the Tatars, and expand the realm! Combat strength reaches MAX!
Isolationism → lift the maritime ban + build an invincible fleet + create a global trade network = silver floods in! The treasury's reserves instantly go off the charts!
“This young man is no less talented than Zhang Juzheng!”
Prince Yu: “With this man at our side, the Ming Dynasty may yet be revived!”
Step by step, the backward Ming Dynasty evolves into a global empire that dominates technology, military affairs, and culture!
Lu Yuan: My goal is the stars and seas, and every nation paying tribute!
I thought it was some kind of technology, but it turns out it's not. The plot is prominent and compact.
