Back at Fifty, Old Li Won't Rely on His Unfilial Son in His Old Age

[Reborn] [No Golden Finger] [Family Life]

In his previous life, Li Chongsheng and his wife, Wang Qingman, spent their whole lives working themselves to the bone for their three sons. His wife died of a heart attack brought on by exhaustion, leaving Old Li to carry on struggling alone.

His three ungrateful sons claimed that moving him to the city would let them take better care of him. They persuaded him to sell his house in town and come live with them. In the end, he froze to death in a public restroom at the age of seventy.

When he opened his eyes again and saw himself and his wife lying in a warm bed, Old Li was reborn, and at last he understood.

In this life, he and his wife would no longer slave away for their three ungrateful sons.

When his eldest son pulled Old Li aside and whispered, “Dad, there’s a unit apartment available through my workplace. It’s really cheap, only 30,000 yuan.”

Old Li didn’t even lift an eyelid. “Oh? If you’ve got the money, go ahead and buy it!”

When his second son started working, he still asked Old Li for money. “Dad, could you lend me a little? I’ll pay you back when I get my paycheck next month.”

Old Li took out his little notebook. “Pay back what you borrowed before first. If you borrow, you should repay. That’s the only way you’ll be able to borrow again.”

His third son did nothing useful with his life. Then, one day, he suddenly brought home a woman. “Dad, this is my wife.”

Old Li immediately gave him a beating. “You’re not even twenty and you want to get married? You can’t even support yourself. What do you need a wife for?”

Old Li finally understood that he couldn’t rely on his ungrateful sons. He had let down his two daughters in his previous life, and now he would make it up to them and never let them suffer the same fate again.
